Meg2: The Trench
Perhaps you missed Meg 1? I almost did- but my husband and son insisted on watching it in the family room and I got sucked in. It's like James Bond crossed with Jackie Chan crossed with Jaws. Meg 2 was more of the same.

I went because my son wanted us all to go out to the movies and (Surprise!) the Meg2 theater was almost empty. Honestly, it was a lot of fun. It is nonstop ridiculous action- but fun action. And you'll see a lot of folks eaten by a meg- but very little blood and guts (like almost none). The actors are likeable and the plot, such as it is, is not hard to follow- you're there for the action. It was a joint Chinese/American production and filmed in NZ- so a pan global movie :-)
