This coming Monday Aug 7th is the "outside date" for the MXL-SIMO acquisition. Not sure if it means anything given that MXL has delivered notice they intend to cancel the deal due to alleged issues with and by SIMO.

I think it's interesting that there have been no regulatory filings by either company since the deal cancellation days. If they were in arbitration, I would think there would be some SEC filing saying something along the lines of what is going on.

Perhaps they are currently negotiating completing the deal under different terms. I don't know. But as long as the companies are silent, and there is no information about arbitration beginning, I would think they are probably in some level of discussions about the deal or about a settlement.

Interesting stuff.

If there is no new deal and no settlement, I wonder whether SIMO commences dividends and conference calls, or they just wait until the arbitration ends to learn the result (which at bests for SIMO might be to compel MXL to complete the terms of the agreement).
