Re <<Alien technology ... either way it appears to be light years ahead>>

am here on Koh Samui to attend a birthday bash, 70th, of my buddy, scheduled for coming Sunday

have the Coconut in toll, and left the Jack in HK w/ mama to complete his fencing camp

last night over dinner the Irish-Russian kids of my pal, ages bracketing my Jack, girl @ 14 and boy @ 12, normally living in Moscow w/ their mom, chatted happily with the Coconut on mathematics (I recognised some of the sounds), geopolitics (amazingly based and way ahead of most professional adults I know), and fashion design (I knew nothing but found interesting). The girl is eager to get on to physics and happy to hear that Coconut thought physics is fun. My friend can no longer beat his son in chess, and I am not eager for embarrassment so am shying off.

I commented on the daughter's no-accent English even though after leaving HK 5 years ago she had always been Russian school, whereupon she switched, hilariously, to a thick Russian-accented English 'you mean not like this, the way I am supposed to speak? ...', and continued on to tell about her schooling but in American-accented Mandarin Chinese, and "tell Jack to come to Koh Samui coming Christmas" in flawless mandarin learned on-line.

unlike my daughter, i never found chemistry easy, biology interesting, physics fun, and math no big deal.
the kids, fabulous in tennis, and at IQ 160+, shall likely make a difference going forward, what with STEM, IT, Russian-English-Chinese, and a fabulous sense of humour.

Here at the party venue (host rented out several villas within the compound where his is located) once all the guests are in place by Saturday we shall be treated to Hollywood name-brand live music flown in by bespoke transport, and 4-days of professionally (friends / friend-of-friend) guided discourse on gold, silver, crypto, covid, ... 2024, etc etc

Here is the coconut, working on her internship stuff - the Hollywood folks might have been hiccupped by the writer's strike and leaning heavier on all interns or just some interns - and waiting to be breakfasted :0)
