I don't see why negotiations are needed. Acceptance of how things are is all that's needed. Maybe for ease of administration, Kievan bosses could ask Russia to take over the whole of Luhansk, Donetsk and the Z place to stay with original boundaries. Announce on X that borders are open for trade again.

Just as there weren't negotiations when Crimea was added to the administration zone of Ukraine, it was just done with some paperwork, so can the borders be easily agreed as already drawn on maps and in filing cabinets in the various city council offices in the Donbas region. As agreed by Russia when the independent provinces applied for membership of Russia.

The criminal coup in Kiev started off the problems - done by Obama, Nuland, Biden and co-conspirators in CIA etc.

I don't see why the UN needs to be involved. They've caused enough trouble. The local yokels can easily agree to get along, trade and enjoy life, without a bunch of UN bludgers sticking their noses in.

The UN should have been advising NATO to stop the war preparations 20 years ago. And 10 years ago. But they were kissy kissy with Obama while Hunter raked in umpty $millions for BigGuy10% et al and the military suppliers and politicians raked in $billions.
