The puppets yanking potato-head's charge are climate change zealots (whether they actually believe it or not -- maybe some do) who want nothing less than to double or treble the cost of all fossil fuel products. It's a holy mission or a holy grift for them. Take your pick. Drain the SPR, stop all the pipelines, guilt all the weak fools ... I think in Canada some of the nuts they emboldened set fires. I'm sorry -- the climate emergency is in competition with covid and J6 to see who can tell the biggest story. I am a few months short of 62. In my short tenure on this globe what I have found is: the human capacity for self-deception exceeds by at least 2 orders of magnitude the ability of individuals to deceive others. To be self-aware -- we absolutely must guard ourselves against reinforcing our own "favorite stories" and seek out the contrary evidence.
