Sending email to Waterhouse is useless, at best. This is my experience both through the Web and through Waterhouse dedicated software. But if Waterhouse will close boxed shorts out with a phone call, as Barb reports, this is much better than my experience at another discount broker, which delayed for 2 weeks and then told me a signed letter had to be sent before anything could be done. My only closed-out short at Waterhouse was forced on me within 2 weeks after the sale, though just as well in retrospect. They were accommodating on the phone about it and allowed time to get a halfway decent execution. -- Shoe
