More like "When we build enuf, along with hydro, geo, biogas, hydrogen, and storage." That should happen around 2050.
We already have hydro-electric plants. We already have geothermal plants. Biogas is nice, but more of a niche than anything.

Hydrogen is one way to replace fossil fuels, but it is just a medium. The actual energy has to come from electricity, presumably from the massive amounts of solar and wind that I mentioned in my last post.

Storage is required for solar and wind to become even remotely viable, but again, we're back to "building enough solar panels and wind turbines to satisfy the world's energy needs."
