That's a nice collection of vintage Omega and recall your mentioning some before but not all. Some old original Rolex parts are near impossible to find but many can be custom made. I've no experience with something like that in vintage timepieces but it can be done. And then it gets into issues of which model and value and cost to repair and whether it's worth it to you. If it can't be salvaged then you're basically left with a parts/donor watch.

A number of the finest independent watchmakers got their starts either at antique clock/watch repair shops repairing pieces made from 1600-1900, or in the repair departments of major ateliers including brands like Patek, Vacheron, Breguet, etc. that have long histories of producing high end complications. Imagine fixing a complicated table clock or pocket watch from 1800. Having to produce a part is usually the rule not the exception. I know CNC machines have helped in some instances and perhaps 3D printing does now as well.

Rolex used to be good about maintaining parts and sourcing them to outsiders but sometime in the past few decades closed that window. They won't even service their own vintage watches before a certain date. I believe Patek Philippe is the only brand that claims to be able to service any timepiece they've ever made.

I'm not current on all the variations of the Explorer and when one version ended but it's a common enough watch with a reliable movement that it shouldn't be hard to find one NOS or LNIB unless you are referring to one much older than 10 years and even then it will be available. I'd thought about getting a Sky-Dweller and still may someday but lost interest for now and shifted my focus to other items and still have a few vault queens I'd like to move to fund some of the bigger buys. ;-)

Forget if this was posted anywhere speaking of vintage watch (Omega) chicanery at the top of the food chain. Haha.
