Joachim,
The amount of copper, lithium and almost non-existent manganese that will be needed to power new EVs will create the largest carbon footprint the world has ever seen.
This is true, and it should pour cold water on the greenies who think EVs are zero-carbon.

In general, the overall carbon footprint of EVs are half that of their gas-powered counterparts, which is significant but nowhere close to zero.
Giant windmills don't last forever, there is no plan or place to dispose of them, local rural landfills cannot handle that much waste.
This is a non-issue, at least for us Americans. We are NOT running out of landfill space, and I wish the environmentalist wackos would stop pushing that myth.

For other countries like Singapore and Japan, landfill space IS an issue. They'll just have to ship non-recyclable and non-incinerable waste to other countries like China or India.
