G-Shocks can be quite collectible too! They have a global cult following that is acute in Japan. There are limited editions worth many times their original price mostly from Japan but the limited editions are now global in nature as well. 2023 is the 40th anniversary of the first G-Shock. They even now make a G-Shock in 18K gold, hahaha... but it's a bit overpriced!

Here are some links about its history if you want to bore yourself:

Debating to preorder this book, for the size and if quality printing the price doesn't seem terrible and if nothing else looks like a good reference guide for a lot of G-Shock examples.

The highest end Casio line I'm aware of is the Oceanus. It's not a G-Shock style or designed for diving but good enough for swimming. Own some of those but will save for another post. I have a few old G-Shocks used as work watches, among others. ;-)
