Alex:

No, I am not aware of any additional 3.5 million settlement. I had heard of rumors about it but to the best of my knowledge it was just a rumor. What happened was that the court was supposed t rule on the distribution of $8.5 million settlement by the end of last December. However the judge in case decided (and I have no idea as why) to extend it till the end of April 98 for all such shares holders of the stock between 1993-1995 to let the court know of their existance.

The stock's response (well actually its lack of response!) simply (IMHO of course) represents pure manipulation by the big guys. The stock is in a very strange bear state (i.e. it neither moves down by much or up by much). Usually what you would see with a stock in such a state is for the number of short interest on the stock to increase gradually in the anticipation of a big drop later on. However with SPNSF the short interest has been decreasing steadily while its price has also come down. The people who short stocks usually are short term speculators who because of the so much risk involved do their study very carefully. It is obvious to me that at this time no short is daring to come forward and bet against the current price of the stock (We get a better feel about this by the first week of March when the numbr of short interest for the month of Feb is published).

Therefore I believe from now till middle of April-end of April the stock will be moving (in any direction) on pure speculations. As I said I intend to add to my existing shares if it goes to under $6 (a high improbability but you never know) and despite the fact that I have more shares of SPNSF at this time than I really care to have I will be buying again big time. However once officially the cloud surrounding the law suit settlement clears you will see a dramatic change in the upside direction of this stock.

All the fundamentals are in place at this time, the company in its entire history of existance as a public company has never been in a better shape financially, product offerings, and market acceptance. The top management continues to hold on tight to their shares and I have a strong feeling we may (just may) see some insider buying if it does fall in the $5 range or perhaps in the low $6. I am watching insider activities very closely via SEC documents.
