Feb 14 1998 Weekly=Down Tu=d,W=u,Th=u,F=d VIX=600 points down VGY=Buy DJIA mom (377) =near peak Gut feeling - up before down Volatility=retreating Overall-not up Evaluation:of last week's forecast: Weekly-Right on Daily-80% wrong Gut feelings: right Last week was the second week in 7 with a good forecast! <sigh> As far as the outside day being negative... I have watched day after day and week after week having solidly POSITIVE volume (up vs down volumes) in this market... and I can tell you from past experience that strong positive volume is a real plus for the markets on an intermediate term basis (months to year)... so while my VIX indicator is saying we should have a 600 point sell-off, maybe not!
