Rick,

First of all congrats on your methods. The main point I was trying to make with my SOES comment on pricing was that you can't just sign up with Datek or Ameritrade and become a SOES trader for 9.95 a trade.

You bring up a very good point that many "Newbies" need to realize.. That if you are serious about Day Trading you must contantly be in a position to "manage" your trades... Ie if you are looking for 1/4ths and 1/8ths you had better be watching to make sure you are able to take advantage of the run ups. (And unfortunitly run downs)

The other thing that bothers me about SOES trading is that there just seems to be a lot of people hyping this style of trading.. yet I hear that the most successful SOES house, Block Trading, is closing offices. I have also talked to SOES traders at Block and in a given Block office only a small percentage of new traders have what it takes to be sucessful and profitible trading this way.

I believe that outfits such as AB Watley & MB Trading are really good places to start if you want to take your trading to the next level.

Hope I was able to help,

Dave

P.S. I started this thread because I needed answers to my questions.. I am certainly not an expert myself, Just hoping to pick up anything that will help myself and others.
