Avery Dennison Seen as a Beneficiary From Retail Theft Crackdown -- Market Talk 8:29 am ET August 23, 2023 (Dow Jones) 0829 ET - Avery Dennison, which makes digital-identification solutions, is slated to be a beneficiary as companies like Lowe's and other retailers crack down on theft that is eating into profits, Truist analyst Michael Roxland says in a research note. Earlier this week, Lowe's executives said they are embedding radio frequency identification tech in its products to prevent theft by rendering the tools inoperable until scanned and purchased. Roxland says new initiatives like that should open up new markets for Avery Dennison and peers like Impinj.
