Like I said it made sense in 1787... its a bad design 250 years later.
It made sense as states were being added to the union, which lasted all the way to 1959.

Smaller colonies were worried about their influence being drowned out by the more populous states, which is why our nation is a federal union of states, not a collective ruled by the majority.

That's what helped convince the smaller states to join the union. And it has worked for the past 250 years.

Of course YOU think it's a bad design because twice in recent history the Democrats "won" the popular vote but lost the electoral vote.

And of course you would bring up the old Wyoming argument, which I have already addressed many times in the past:

Wyoming has NEVER decided any presidential election. Anyone who thinks Wyoming's three electoral votes matters more than California's 55 electoral votes is a woke idiot.
