GRAY FOX are unique in the canid family, in that they are one of two species of canid that climb trees. They have rotating wrists and semi-retractable claws that help them climb up high to den, forage, or escape predators.

I'm being a foxy lookout
It's my job for today
Flying fox or squirrel ?
Neither, I'm a GRAY FOX !
Us Grays are great tree climbers
And are happy off the ground
In the middle of a tree trunk
Is where we're often found !
