Dave, thanks for the link to the Intel 740 data sheet. ftp://download.intel.com/design/graphics/datashts/29061901.pdf Very cool chip. It has "DVD" registers for communicating with DVD chips, and it has many DVD and TV related functions. It even has an "intercast" mode for receiving internet data broadcast during the vertical blanking interval of TV signals -- in other words, a wireless internet mode. Sart reading on page 56 of the PDF file.
