Jim, This was quote was posted on the Motley Fool Board, last week.

"Visx should do well also as they are still the machine sales leader. In fact, I wouldn't be too worried about Autonomous doing much. If you look at their 97 earnings statement they had $37,065 in revenue for the whole year. Remember, they were allowed to sell in the international marketplace and go head-to-head with Visx on equal footing and all they managed in sales for the year was $37,065. Visx's international sales for 97 were in the
millions."

Are you saying that Autonomous was not operational for all of 1997 overseas ? Does that account for the low sales ?

I have been following this thread for a while and am tired of this crap as to who has the better machine at the moment. The industry will begin to change rapidly if and when the procedure ever takes off.

Summit was first to get approval and has established a foothold. it still has cash and like it or not will be a player in this industry for some time to come. I realize this sounds like cheer-leading, but most of your posts regarding Summit have been less than objective.

Have you lost money on Summit in the past or do hold it accountable for holding down your investments in Visx or other LVC stocks ???
