Bob Sanchez This is a long story, but I have to share. So something amazing happened Friday night when we got downtown with our homeless ministry “Street Reach”. This is my friend Malcolm and we have been connecting for about 2 1/2 years now. I usually seek him out so we can hang out & share how things were going with him, but Friday he literally came to get me pretty much as soon as we got there. He had the biggest smile on his face, so I asked what was going on. Earlier that week he had some pressure in his heart so he checked himself into Ben Taub. They found he had some heart murmurs and told him since he was a veteran that he qualified for some special assistance through the Wounded Warrior Program. So this is where my story starts. Since we met I’ve prayed over Malcolm to be able to get off the streets. I prayed over him even though he didn’t want me to, because he said he was a devout Muslim. He was always very gracious and said he didn’t care if I prayed to my Jesus, but Friday was different. He hugged me and said My Jesus is His Jesus now. In the past two weeks God has changed his heart, opened his eyes, and allowed Malcolm to accept him as his Lord and Savior. He said he was always so scared to try my Jesus because he had been burnt by so many Christians and he knew I loved him because I never forced anything on him. Street Reach is praying and planning to birth even bigger and better things and this is just confirmation. So let me end with this, God equips us to all do his work and all we need to do is be the light…
