That is Russian propaganda. There is no proof of that and it doesn't even make sense. Why would the US do something with little or no benefit with such high risks?

The Maidan Uprising was clearly the result of Yanukovych backing away from integration with the , which was extremely popular, and deciding to align closer with the Russian Federation, which was extremely unpopular. I mean, aligning with the EU had the demonstrated benefit of a better economy and aligning with the Russian Federation held the demonstrated future of continued grinding poverty. Not for Yanukovych, he of the golden toilets, and his cronies because Putin made sure that the despots who aligned with him were rewarded.

I realize that reality really isn't your thing, but made up bullshit is still made up bullshit.
