Things that affect oil prices on the WORLDWIDE FUTURES MARKETS: (in order of importance)

Consumption (WAY down during pandemic see: Storage)
Storage capacity (Hit ZERO. No room for anymore. Wildcatters were renting trucks for storage. Futures hit Zero per barrel.)
OPEC
War
Refinery fires One in Louisiana recently. Obviously they refine gulf oil.
Technology (fracking)

Things that DON'T affect oil prices:
