The current issue of the Economist covers the outlook for 1998. The section on telecom had a paragraph on China. Asia is the fastest-growing telecom market. China is embarking on a very ambitious fiber rollout - ten's of thousands of miles. The opportunity there is truly huge, but I'm sure not without its own set of challenges.
