Excellent points on directional movement DI+ and DI-. The methodology provides an alternate way to capture those short term swing moves besides using just short term stochastics like 3 or 5 days. Its perfect for exactly what I'm trying to accomplish--namely capturing short term momentum moves in large quantity/volume with the belief that the summation of those small gains will far outstrip gains that can be achieved through buy and hold strategies. Thanks for posting this very useful information. I have some study of the VVUS charts ahead of me. If I have any specific questions I'll post them here. Thanks again.
