Haida Gwaii men were fierce warriors and there is not many places new people could live and survive. the lower mainland it too crowded already with housing costs through the roof so I say to any illegal immigrants, move along, nothing to see here

Unfortunately this is how your typical Canadian redneck responds to immigration.

Not many years ago Poco's relatives fled from Europe and were saved here by Indians.

Yet he would deny new immigrants entry and not share the riches and benefits that country has to offer.

thanks for that info, I had never heard that story before, my French ancestors in Quebec were saved from starving by the Mi'kmaq tribe after the British drove the French people off their land for not pledging allegiance to the crown. we seldom hear good stories about North American natives because of racism.

I was bilingual when I was small, French was my first language, My Grandma only spoke French, I have fond memories of all the Family at her house singing french traditional songs, curious we always called her Mamere which in proper French means my mother, all her kids, my Uncles, Aunts and my Mom called her that so us kids did too. never thought of this until just now, we spoke a slang French, family on my mother side were raised on a farm in Alberta
