SPX Crash Pattern Now In Play …

Message 34390355

The 1987 Crash Pattern had a secondary high 37 calendar days from its August high. This year the top came one month earlier on 7/26, putting the Sep FOMC announcement at +55 calendar days in the crosshairs. (In 1929 the high came on 9/3 with the crash coming 55 c-days later.)

It does seem counterintuitive that this FOMC would produce a violent reaction because SO MANY are relieved by rate peak hopes, forcing SO MANY shorts to cover. But that is how trading often works and why SO MANY lose.
