The PP chronographs are superb, but out of my league.

Just had all of my vintage Omegas overhauled.

The one my father gave me, a very early bumper (early 1950s, though I cannot pinpoint the date), came back with near-chronometer precision. It is off about 3 or 4 seconds a day.

Ditto for my XVI Melbourne Olympic Seamaster, a 1956 non-bumper automatic.

Another old Seamaster unfortunately did not do so well as it is super fast. Needs some warranty work.

Omega produced some terrific movements back in the day.

I'd like to get my hands on my grandfather's beautiful old pie-pan gold Constellation. Don't know where it ended up after he died. My father has an old Rolex President he never wears. I have no idea what he plans to do with it. Needs work. I'd take in a minute but don't want to cause a family ruckus.

The PP chronograph article was great, but it reveals that watch collecting can become somewhat obsesive. A near sickness.

I have a friend who collects clocks. Oh. My. God. You have no idea, absolutely no idea.

There is a one-armed clock repairer in town. You read that right.
