Dear Members,

Late this morning, our colocation provider experienced a major outage - an electric utility power surge tripping a central circuit breaker, coupled with a failure of their power backup systems.

The surge caused our network core router's firmware to become corrupted, and all of our server raid arrays to go into repair mode when power was restored.

It's been a busy evening for me, with a crash cart downtown nursing our machines back to health.

We are back up now, although probably a little slow as these raid arrays take a while to rebuild. I convey our apologies and those of our colocation services provider - whose backup systems failure brought us down for several hours.

Regards,

@Dima
