I did my homework. And I posted a link about that site being a source of Russian disinformation. Given that the same claim had previously appeared on RT.com, the conclusion is obvious. Besides, the US had few interests at stake. The EU had a far greater stake in it. If the claim was that they were behind it, it at least would have made sense to engage in such a high risk event.
