I love 'em! It's something that worries me about a lot of high tech stocks, to tell you the truth. If you figure, as I do, that the basis of increasing price for growth stocks is that eventually they are going to pay 4% or something on a much larger principal base -- well, when is that ever going to happen with some of these, take for example Cymer. They spend every penny they earn on R&D just to keep earnings up so that they can do some more. Then eventually, they slip up like Apple or Hayes or somesuch and the stock value disappears.

Even Coke -- it pays maybe 1%, which means you're going to get even with bonds about the time it quadruples in price. I'd love to see the necessary growth to keep even with a good current municipal bond.
Well, a lot of Dutchmen made money in tulip bulbs.
