IKE, Enjoyed your 16975 post tremendously. Help me out if you would ... awhile back we had discussed on this thread the purchase of index puts to hedge the portfolio. What I would like to know is this-- How much stock value would 1 SPX put cover? What about an SOX put? I look forward to your response. Additionally ... do I have it right ... Sell 1080 SPX calls to BUY 1000 SPX puts? This is gutsy play ... This is free hedge if SPX doesn't run and provide heart-attack! Never thought of this play as a hedge oppty! Nice ... too risky for me, but nice just the same. GETCHER
