TLK trading at 7 3/16 in London.

It seems as though the IMF are not keen on Suharto's attempts to take the easy way out of this mess by creating a currency board. If he does put it in then the IMF are in big trouble. If they back Indonesia then they lose all credibility but if they don't give Indo the cash then they risk destroying all their work in the rest of Asia. Indonesia believe that the IMF wouldn't dare let them go under so they may be in for a nasty surprise.

If they don't put a currency board in and try and fudge their way out of this then the Rp will be at 20,000 on Friday and 100,000 by the end of the year. What will TLK's parity be then????
