The movie was horrible. The depiction of the pastor was wildly different from the book. In the book he was suave, urbane, calculating. The movie had him as a goofy Sharpton caricature.
The Tommy Killian character is based on this guy. He represented the Andy Warhol estate, also represented mob guys. He says the art world is more ruthless than the mob.
