Yes, you bring up good points. They get to limitations on my ability to post on some topics.

The McCleary/USinternetworking "proposal" is something that, basically, I cannot comment on. I can say that we were disappointed that the media were so centrally involved, and that a lot of non-factual stuff passed for news and information.

That is one of the reasons I've taken the plunge to be here.

As for "no comment" responses to questions, you all will have to take them at face value. "No comment" does not even acknowledge that a particular subject matter exists.

One more thing: time. I've enjoyed the opportunity to get to understand many of your needs for information, and I am committed to appearing here as much as reasonably possible. However, my absence should not be construed one way or the other. I hope you all understand that we routinely work very long days and weeks at PSINet, and that there is indeed a lot going on...from government policy issues to merger cleanup details to routine company matters, all of which can easily keep me away from this thread for unpredictable amounts of time.

So, please don't take anything from my failure to answer questions or appear from time to time.
