As Speculators reduce longs & increase short positions, Commercial Hedgers do the opposite. This, along with lower trending Open Interest, coils the spring for the next major uptrend. Note that, right now, OI in both metals has turned up signaling a possible bottom.
In any case, timing is never exact. And although other TA & FA tools can help clarify the always muddy waters of the future, there's no formula that guarantees exact timing of bottoms or tops despite claims by those with advice for sale & very assertive, controlling, personalities. Not picking on anybody in particular, folks. But ever since Moses came down from the mountain, the world has been ruled by salesmen^...)))
As a humble trend follower, retired from a long, very successful, career as an active lone wolf professional trader, with nothing to sell, don't waste time arguing with those who do. There's no profit in it for me. Nuf said.
