MJZ: I don't quite understand your reluctance to support the stock buyback. The money used to buy stock at this price is not being thrown away. I assume the repurchased stock will be used for further deals. The announcement which introduced the buyback program stated that DCI management believed the stock to be currently undervalued. Do you agree with this assessment? If so, then it would seem to be a good strategy to buyback your own company stock: 1) Assuming the stock price does go up, the $5 million investment could easily be worth $10 million or more in several months; 2) This provides some security and stability to the stock price which may entice some lurkers to take a position; 3) This makes a strong public statement regarding the management's outlook for the future. Overall, it seemed like a sound strategy to me. I admit that I don't have all the information, but there are certainly some supportable justifications. I have a second concern that I want to raise. I'm a bit puzzled by your public statements regarding your dissent over DCI's strategy (i.e. your disagreement with Joe's decision to conduct a buyback). You are, of course, welcome to your opinion on any issue, and I assume that you have discussed this matter with Joe. However, once the decision has been made, I question whether this public forum is the right place for you to express your dissent. I can't recall an instance where I observed one company official publicly denouncing an ongoing company policy so publicly (except where there was some misconduct involved). I would be interested to know why you feel compelled to express your views about DCI policy on this forum? I don't mean any disrespect, but this does seem quite unusual to me. PA
