Bill...I rarely agree with your point of view. Nonetheless, usually I can see where you're coming from even though we draw different conclusions from similar observations. However, I think your comments regarding Jobs has ALWAYS been pretty off base. It's apparent that you don't like the guy...but your arguments behind it has never been convincing to me.We've had this conversation a back in December.https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=3018815 Since then, Apple has only gotten healthier..the results speak for themselves.

The kind of issues raised against Jobs such as ...micro managing..surrounding himself with yes men, are all a bunch of crap. If Jobs is "micro manager", you and Ed have been "backseat drivers" calling out shots from way out of the ballpark. You and most of us here are simply too far away from Cupertino to know the details of what goes on behind the scene at Apple. None of us know Jobs personally. It's silly to make generalizations based on tidbits and rumors.

From this distance all we can do is look at the big picture. Has has product availability improved, do we have higher consumer confidence?...is cost down? is Apple profitable?? YES!! Based on these issues the vast majority of *Apple investors* and *Mac users* believe Jobs is doing a good job and like to see him remain as the CEO. Bill, you're neither an AAPL investor nor a Mac user. Call me silly but I think what "Apple investors" and "Mac users" feel about Jobs far outweighs the opinion of a PC user & non-AAPL investor.

Jobs is a shrewd businessman. He's earned a reputation for striking a hard bargain since the days of Apple IIe. I for one feels much more comfortable with him on OUR side.

Eric
