Excellent read. You are right, large numbers of people fall victim to frauds and quaks in the markets and it is hard for them to distinguish who is real from the scammers. This goes far beyond stock markets. I have long ago come to the conclusion that people and whole societies need to be lead. And if they are not being led, they are being mislead. Most people , outside of their area of expertise, don’t seem to distinguish very well between who is real from the scammers. Scammers take advantage of this. I see the damage the scammers have done every day and everywhere I look. I see it here on SI, in our politics and on both sides of the isle. I see it everywhere across the globe. And the reason it is like it is now is because there are usually no consequences for doing it.
