Saw your post and was looking at the option data table for the CBOE. Noticed the huge open interest in Puts for TXN - Jan. '99 40's (open interest 50,000). I agree that there are either huge bets on a downturn or quite a bit of insurance. I would speculate that somebody with a lot more $$$ than me is betting this thing will turn down. Just an observation. Any thoughts. RB Smith
