New dispersion index is getting interesting. It's a modified VIX like instrument that I was talking about a while back. A little over my head but basically it might keep the index moves more limited as it somehow influences funds to sell some components when buying others. Kind of like sector rotation on steroids.

It seemed to be mirroring VIX for a while then diverged as VIX dropped. Might prove to be an indicator eventually once it has been trading longer and there's more data. (Big money houses probably could reverse compute it and are already playing with it for their models).
