I don't dismiss the possibility that the system was hacked. It had to be a pretty thorough job which probably requires some sort of conspiracy. This also opens the important question of who did it. Friends of Hamas, I assume, I wonder which friends. I wonder if naming them would obligate other actions so they will remain un-named.

Some guys Hamas knows knocked out the technology built into the fence while some other guys cut the communication chanel from multiple spotters up the chain to somewhere and the emergency messaging system to the rest of the country.

Kind of reminds me of Lanai, or Las Vegas, or the Wuhan flu. Mistakes where made at every step, always in one direction. Incompetence abounds.
