Hours before that morning, the Wall Street Journal reported further progress in the talks, which have since stalled
US President Joe Biden said Friday night (between Friday and Saturday) that one of the reasons for Hamas' surprise murderous attack on October 7 was the contacts the United States conducted with Saudi Arabia in favor of normalizing the kingdom with Israel. "Guess what? The Saudis wanted to recognize Israel," Biden said at a campaign fundraiser.
