Hi Sonny,
Just got back from Rome. Real busy day and tiring!! I did answer your post but I can't figuer why it wasn't posted!! Yes I have been on the Orient Express! The first time was in 1975. That was the real Orient Express! Paris, Gare de Lyon to Istanbul, Hyder Pasha! That was the real oreinet Express! Pre-war German made Waggons, Wood-pannaled Waggon-lits in the first class, and the Turkish gustarbieters going to back to Anatolia mingling wiht Hippies on the way to some far-off Ashram in some far off Hymalayian hill top in the second class! I can still smell the tobacco and the sweat!!
The route was Paris, Milan, Venice, Triest, Lubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Nis, Sofia, and through the Trace to Istanbul. From there One could have continued with the Van Express to Lake Van, but I didn't take taht. I checked in ParaPlace in Istanbul and lived it up.
Last year my wife and I London Venice on the New Oreint Express. Maximum of Luxury, Champgne, Taxido's, Coctail Dress, great service, soft sleepers!
Something out of the Bell Epoche! I stongly recommend you try it! If a— poor guy like me could afford it, I am sure you can too! gg!!
I have been 70% in bonds forever! And the few dime and nicles I save during the year, I sink them in always on 70-30 perortion!
What kind of Bonds! No US Treasury bills or anything like that. Currencies are DM. USD, Lit. Sfr, and œ. The coupons are re-invested in 70-30 preportion!
Quality bonds are AAA sovreign Dutch, German, Italin, or US coporation bonds, Israel Bond, Argentina, Brasil, and Mexico bonds for US Dollar and Lit. where I pick up 4 basic points. Now if Moody calls Argintine, Mexico and Brasil BB or B1 tht is moody's problem. I get over 10% return on US Dollar and 14% on Lit. I like that!
Sonny, tell me more about INTC at 140! Is any US broker has given that as a target price?
Kind regrds,
