Karl, I wasn't suggesting that anyone resist stating opinions and I'm not worried about or looking for press releases. If you READ what I said, it was that I don't think saying things like " I heard" this or that, without saying whom you heard it from does anyone any good.

Saying you've heard something is not expressing an opinion, its stating a fact. If its a fact, then say where it came from. That's simple , isn't it?

I've been an active part of many threads on SI and always find these kinds of unattributed statements to be little more than hype. If any of us have information I would hope we'd pass it on, just do so with some context of where it came from.
