Baloney. Our nation came into existence having to buy back our enslaved sailors from the Barbary pirates. Our first "invasion" of the Muslim world was to put a stop to their barbaric and brutal slave trading.

We have historically ignored the Muslim world until their offenses against us forced us to act. 911 was simply the latest example of that.
