AJ - Here is the chart I was talking about.

Note the extreme swings from depression in late 20s-early 30s, huge inflation in 40s, 50s were good, then 70s inflation again, then we had stability through most of the 80s-90s until the deflationary bubble pop in 2000, back to stability until COVID...
