In my opinion, it would make perfect sense for Autonomous to target Summit owners, since the sales figures and procedure count (among other measures) clearly indicate the Visx laser is superior to Summit's, has greater capabilities. Visx owners already have an edge over Summit owners, so they would be less inclined to trade up, unlike Summit owners. As I said before, though, this may only be a problem if PPP breaks up.
I'm just trying to provide some healthy contrarian perspective. It seems to me that on all SI threads, people tend to be cheerleaders, and they detest anyone who rains on their parade. That's a sign of insecurity.
I feel more secure holding VISX and LVCI than BEAM and LCAV, but I do believe from current levels, BEAM will be a good investment. Fundamentally, though, Summit seems to be an inferior company compared to others in the industry. |
