They won't... unless Putin dies but even then probably not because another sociopath is waiting in the wings. Another path is if the oligarchs get tired of Russia falling behind the rest of the world economically. All their investment money is going into the war so slowly they're reverting to a 3rd rate country. Revolution is unlikely. Ruthless punishments are effective to keep populations under control. This is what Trump wants, but luckily our Constitution is so ingrained we've foiled him so far. As I predicted from the start this is going to be a long long war of attrition... even if Russia took over Ukraine I think they'd face guerilla war and eventually terrorism from Ukraine. Same thing they'd face if they took over the US.
