Speaking of interviews, I am sad to report that Eleanor Wachtel, who IMO is the best interviewer out there, certainly on her specialty of literary writers from around the world, is retiring. Over the summer CBC Radio has been rerunning a selection of her favourites, which have been amazing. I am often rapt even if I have never heard of the author. There is a reason a number of famous authors will grant in depth interviews only to her.

I invite you to visit this link and find an interview with an author you know. I guarantee you will know a lot more after the interview.

Why they have chosen to feature an interview with John Grisham of all people is beyond me, but even that was kind of interesting even though I have zero interest in his books.
