L.L. Knickerbocker Co. Inc. and Terri Lee Associates LLC Announce Plans to Reissue 50th Anniversary Edition of Terri Lee Doll
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--The L.L. Knickerbocker Co. Inc. and Terri Lee Associates LLC Friday announced their plans to reissue a 50th Anniversary Edition of the legendary Terri Lee doll in 1998.
First manufactured in 1946, Terri Lee became one of the most coveted children's dolls during the 1950s. The Terri Lee doll line ushered in a new era in doll manufacturing. Sculpted in the likeness of and named after a real little girl, the original Terri Lee was the first vinyl articulated doll and the first to introduce wigs that could be shampooed and curled.
At its height in popularity, Terri Lee had a wardrobe of over 500 different costumes and accessories, including its own doll hospital, which allowed children to return their Terri Lee dolls for new wigs and repairs.

Terri Lee Associates is comprised of family members of Terri Lee Schrepel, the doll's original namesake. The family will consult with Knickerbocker in reproducing Terri Lee dolls and her wardrobes and accessories.
