My Dog or Where's your ball ? I like to tell people who ask that Honey, my dog, is a miniature Golden Retriever. She is actually a Cock-a-poo but does look very similar. The size of the dog does not indicate the size of the dog's heart. My wife (at that time fiancee) and I were visiting a local river with a waterfall. I picked up a rock and threw it into a pool on the other side of the river, without hesitation my small dog launched herself from the bank into the swiftly moving icy water, she was swept downstream but gamely struggled to get back to the pool where she thought I had just thrown her ball. She did eventually reach the pool and paddled in circles trying to locate her chief treasure in the world. After some minutes of this she decided I might have it and swam back across the river, again getting swept downstream. Happily she reached the bank safely and my wife (who had started to cry when the dog first dove in) could stop crying. To keep small children at bay, our dog licks them until they laughingly withdraw.
